I thought this was due to the complexity of parsing. But since I
know that it is a concious decision, I must criticize.
According to RTS definition, you can write kanpur as kaan^poor or
kaan&poor (Since I don't have it handy I don't recall it; that is what
the help text or F1 key is for anyway :-)).
The chances of you needing n as sunna are higher than you imagine. For
example, people instictively write manchamu for bed rather than
maMchamu. Of course, if people write kaanpu they generally mean pu
vattu for na.
If there is confusion, we better redesign the sunna derivation rules
than to revert back to M as sunna only solution.
