I am not that knowledgable in these matters - but I guess  - there is a
relationship between

trilingadesam - telangana - telanga(s) - and the tamil telungu!

Having said that these words seem far removed from the 'telugus' and
'telugis'. However, I am sure we often say/ask 'meru telugu vaalla.....'

Which leads me to a question - how should we refer to ourselves
collectively? Any takers - I am serious.
