The magazine (mAsapatrika) "catura" brings the stories
from other languages (mostly Indian) every month. This I consider a
very good magazine with the stories from almost all the Indian languages
translated into telugu. In the index of the magazine they clearly
mention "tamiLa katha" or "oriYa katha" or "maNipuri katha" or
something else. Atleast 50% of the stories I read in "catura"
easily fall into the "good" category of telugu stories... atleast
for the content. Also the publishers encourage this by clearly
mentioning that if anyone wants to translate a story he/she can
directly contact the original author and get the permission OR they
(publishers) will do it..... even if it means paying
something to the original author. They also mention how much
you get by bringing a good story into telugu.

Its long time since I got a copy of this book. Is it still
coming out ? I really doubt, since it has been proved time
and again that all the good magazines (of telugu) have to
come to an end. Only hope here is that "InAdu" group has grown
so much that they can afford to run a magazine like this (and
vipula also) with what they are making on the daily and other
stuff.
Very recently I bought a book "tamiLa katha" all the stories
are translated from tamil... an excellent collection.
