What is so new and appealing in those dull old b/w
movies like missamma, malleeSwari ........?
Who wants to bring back onto one's dining table
those #aavakaaya zaaDeelu#? those stale #pulusulu#?
No! It's mummy mummy modern bread, now!
Do they have the thunder and lightning of a Ten Commandments which
gave me a chance to give half-a-dozen unsolicted lectures on all the
topics ranging from Moses' stammering to Mid-east peace talks?
Do they present a sweet tale of a girl and a guy abondoned on
a pictureseque isalnd as in The Blue Lagoon which boosted my morale
so much that i confidently went on looking for girls speaking with
public-school-accent and for girls who are moving perfumes?
How can pounds of #pasupu# and kilos of #kumkuma# match the
majesty of a Sylvester Stallone starrer?
I am the first one to kick out those wordy, wordy, wordy
sentimentals, those coughing, coughing, coughing tycoons
and those starry-eyed poor maidens who find their way
to a #lankanta bangaLaa# and I will be cinematically teleported
to the vast tracts of barren, desert lands inhabited by
horse-riding, not-much-talking and mostly shooting marksmen
of The Good The Bad and The Ugly.
Enough of Telugu stuff, folks!
