the problem with palana gAri proposal is that it requires a mahAyaj~nam.
given the size of telusa archives, a search engine is definitely
required. couple of months ago, i did write a search engine which understands
RTS spellings.
e.g. a search for rAmAyaNam would match rAmAyaNam, raamaayaNam, ra'ma'yan'am
and all other valid RTS combinations of the same word.
this search engine can also operate in an english mode where the given
string is matched on a case-insensitive basis.
i installed this engine on a telugu song database at
http://acm7.me.uiuc.edu/~prasad/song_list.html
i did send the programs to ratnakar for installation at the
telusa site. so, we can have this engine installed whenever ratnakar
finds time to install it.
ofcourse, the computer gurus can rewrite the program modules
to make it much more efficient.
