Jokes aside, does the LP Record follow the stage play or the movie track?

Isn't the movie version of "cintAmaNi" of bharaNi productions (bhAnumati's
company)? If so, how did sadASivarAv manage to notgive any attribution to
his father's work?How did bhAnumati (a writer herself) agree/consent/condone 
this slight to a fellow-writer?

PS: I saw the movie "varuDu kAvAli" *ing bhAnumati. It is simply hilarious.
I was told that the story line is taken from a spanish story/novel 
"fabulous senorita". Anybody know of this spanish work, and if there is 
an english translation available?
