These were written by my respected teacher, Sri Kandregula Amba
Prasadarao. Sri Prasadarao, a resident of Parlakimedi, Orissa, is 85
years old, currently living in Visakhapatnam. He obtained his B.Sc.
in physics and mathematics from the Maharajah's College,
Vizianagaram. Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore awarded him the Bachelor's
Degree and the GOLD MEDAL. Sri Prasadarao was an outstanding student
but could not continue his studies further but settled as a high
school teacher in the Maharajah's High School at Parlakimedi, Orissa.
Sri Prasadarao is a master of all subjects which include literature
and fine arts also. He had directed close to half a century dramas
and plays. He is a musician and composer. Above all he is a first
rate poet. Sri Prasadarao is an inborn painter. Thousands of
students were trained by him and many of them are all over the world
in esteemed positions professionally. Eventhough Sri Prasadarao's
poetry and writings were published occassionally, many never make it
to the press as he does not write those for publication. Sri
Prasadarao is still active creating masterpieces. Sri Kandregula
Amba Prasadaro's greatest service to the Telugutalli is keeping
TELUGU BHASHA and CULTURE alive out of the boundaries of ANDHRA i.e.
in ORISSA.
Recently I met him in Visakha. He rendered some of his compositions.
I had an opportunity to videotape them. At may request, he also gave
me some transcripts. With his permission, I am going to post some of
his unpublished works. Some times, famous people never crave for
fame and go unrecognized since people like Sri Prasadarao beleive
that fame is the food that dead men eat in silent and gloomy tombs.
