Prabhakar gaaru -

Welcome back.

It is time to get back to some moving poetry. Frankly for the past two months I
been immensely getting bored with telusa's endless discussions about Sri Sri
and then what makes something mahaakaavyamulu. No flames please - this is
strictly my opinion.

What makes a mahakaavyamu - in the final analysis, the time will tell.

Those who belief it is already time for Sri Sri to be characterized as mahakavi
- so be it - that also will be time tested.

Just to clarify your statement based on my understanding:

I believe there was some discussion about Amuktamaalyada in the net. It is
original and is predominantly based on the Vaishnava prabhandhas- story of Andal
or godadevi and her father Vishnuchittu - both are considered as aalvars. It is
not easy to understand not because of many sanskrit words, but also due to many
uncommon telugu words.

My father has translated that into sanskrit as Vishnuchitteeyamu which has been
published by TTD. Why into sanskrit when even Telugu one itslef is difficult to
understand. The governing factor is to expose non-telugus the glory of telugu
literature.

Like wise he has traslated Tiruppavai of Godadevi into telugu - as MelinOmu. As
Pillalamarri pointed out it is not just a translation but an exhastive literary
commentary.

Sadananda
