As Bapa Rao already said it all depends your current interest. If you want
to read somebody like Irving Wallace you should go with somebdy like
Yandamoori Veerendranath. If you enjoy reading Wodehouse you should go with
Yerramsetti Sai. If you are of the type who would say I would rather read
classics like Chekhov than popular trash like Irving Wallace
you should probably go with Kodavatiganti Kutumba Rao. Enjoyed reading
Steinbeck a lot? Try Raavi Shastri.
If you are more of a poetry person than prose there is no better way to
start than movie songs. Believe it or not some songs really show unusual
depth.
The discussion brings back my old memories. I was eight years old when I read
my first Telugu novel "Raadha". Honestly, I can't say I understood
anything. As a kid it was more of another thing to conquer. Does anybody
remember who wrote it. I would like to read it once more just for
nostalgia.
