To some extent, I empathize with Kamala garu's dilemma--I am nowhere
near as well-read as I suspect the majority of Telusa participants
are, and I am forever looking for an easy way to access Telugu books;
and I could always use pointers in what must, of necessity, be highly
selective reading. So far, my only solution has been the obligatory
pilgrimage to Visaalandhra on each trip to India.

A couple of years ago, I recall that Ramana Juvvadi et al had
initiated some discussion on making Telugu literature accessible on
the net. I don't know what, if anything came of this. Technically at
least, this is not a problematic concept; it only requires someone to
drive the effort. (I have some hopes that, starting January, my life
and time will be better organized, and I can actually become involved
in such an effort.)

In the meantime, depending on the general level of interest, I would
be willing to participate in a book exchange program by mail or UPS
with the other members of this list. My own Telugu collection is small
(<100, more if you include old chandamaamas and other magazines), so I
would probably get a net benefit from such a scheme. If there is
interest, please let me know, and we can work out practicalities.
