few confessions: am *almost* illiterate when it comes to telugu
alphabet. my reading skills are limited to printed matter such
as chandamama, weekly magazines and pooja pustakAlu (with great
difficulty). writing skills stop at the very basic vOttulu:
never mastered the 'ha' vottulu till now...
coming to the point: it is extremely fascinating to see so
much on telugu literature being discussed here (and
elsewhere). i can't help but feel envious of all the people
who have telusa on their finger tips.
where does a novice begin acquiring such skills/knowledge.
surely there is *some* standard path (not a very strict
one, but definitely, various defined stages exist, i
presume)... e.g in hindi, we started off with mahadevi
verma and on to jaishankar prasad and then to prem chand
etc etc ... it was a smooth transition.
what do i begin with ?! if u quote a book/author, please
give me the location where i can find it too. our libraries
telugu books' collection is something i'd rather not talk about.
am looking forward to this (ad)venture ....
