I heard from three list members that my previous message with too many (?)
"sandhi sootraalu" was quite confusing. I am sorry for that. Since five and a
half years I have been seldom speaking Telugu and English. Its not an excuse
though. Let me try to explain once again.
I wanted to say that there is no word Sarat chandra. Before you ask me how
and why so many Sarat Chandra-s are existing in "aandhra dESam" (including one
of my cousins), let me say that they all should be called "saracchandra-s" :-).
Though the word "SaraSchandra" is grammatically correct, I doubt whether the
poet really meant that word (esp. in that context!) in the SlOka. Or the word
Sara@h has more meanings?! People with access to "Sabda ratnaakaramu" and
similar standard works, may like to check up and enlighten us. Saracchandra
sounds more convincing, and appropriate to the context. Hence I agree with
Nasy's argument. However I 'd have named their programme "Saracchandrika" and
not "Saratchandrika" :-).
