A coconut from Konaseema, Chy. Ramabhadra Dokka, a chip of the
old block, reemerged from the quagmire of bytes and came back
in flying colors to the cybernet (TELUSA). WELCOME BACK DOKKA!
Rambhadra, a versatile writer, with his unique stylistic elegance,
wrote on a wide spectrum of topics in Telugu literature and
culture on SCIT. For almost 2 and half years, Dokka's writings
made the SCIT vivaceous. Suddenly, he suffered from byte bite! - His
job siphoned his time and took him away from the internet.
He published several articles and poems in Telugu magazines backhome.
He also publishes in Telugu magazines here in the US (Telugu Jyothi).
Ramabhadra has a musician in himself - has an excellent command over
Karnatak Music (I call it Andhra Music). Gentle and softspoken Dokka
carries an optimistic style on his face all the time and is a
treasure of knowledge.

Dokku = a Telugu slang for computer (According to Ramakrishna Pillalamarri and
Vishwanadha Acyutarayalu. This Dokku word for computer originated at the 10th
TANA convention. Ramakrishna Pillalamarri asked Acyutarayalu "miiku EMail
ra'va'lamTE miiru DokkokaTi sampa'dimca'li. taruva'ta mODem tagilimca'li."
Then Acyutarayalu says "Dokku already vumdi na' daggara. da'ni moguDu kooDa'
already vunna'Du." moguDu is for modem. It took me a few minutes to
understand that "Dokku" stands for this "Dabba" - the computer. Dabba' is
also used alternatively for Dokku (for computer).
