For the past several days, I have been enjoying the discussions and
samasyApUraNamulu though not at the same speed as they were appearing.
Aravinda Pillalamarri wrote about sankrAnti homepage and tiruppavai.
Sometime in the 1970s, Mutteevi Lakshmana Dasu (who later became
Lakshmana Yateendrulu of Pedamuttevi) translated tiruppavai into telugu
in dwipada and published it as a book with the title "rasadhuni". In
1991 (or 1992), it was published by Andhra Prabha (weekly) as a serial.
He is an excellent poet, has a great command over language and meter
and writes with an easy flow. I do not remember any of the verses but
each piece ends with "mana nOmu jagatiki mangaLapradamu". It will
be nice if someone subscribing to Andhra Prabha makes it available
for the homepage.
