who will be reading the telusa posts?

Sri Bapa Rao garu has brought up one important concern regarding the plan
to "pump" telusa postings onto scit which is that knowing the postings
were reaching a larger audience may prove stifling.

One thing to point out (which may alleviate if not quite erase this
concern) is that: most of the people posting junk on s.c.i.t. DO NOT read
s.c.i.t. You will notice on any junk posting that it is cross posted to
at least 4 other groups, sometimes 10-12. The replies are equally cross
posted. Among the junk posters, I imagine it is a small fraction who are
even reading the telugu group, and even smaller who would read telusa
postings. These unnamed persons (we all seem to know generally what
people we mean) are more interested in talking than listening, I can
guarantee you that, and are not going to rush to sign up for a mailing
list where they actually have to receive mail (even deleting mail requires
a tiny moment of attention). Actually, it would be good for them to read
our postings, who knows, they may develop and interest and find more
worthwhile things and worthwhile ways of talking . Anyway usenet and
mailing lists each have their advantages & disadvantages, I think we
should at least try this plan out experimentally to see what telusa could
gain.
