1) I was worried about some, I can name them in a totally private
e-mail, SCITters becoming part of this group and changing its character.
2) I did not want to explain why we had this particular listserv
and did not announce it openly when it was formed. If we wanted everybody
that is interested in Telugu literature to be part of our group, the best
way to do it would have been to periodically talk about it on SCIT.
As far as Vish Vadlamani's reasons for proposing the alt group
and not mentioning the listserv that he was a part of, I will refrain
from speculating.
