On `paarvatee - paramEswarau'

I have previously written on this topic wheren I stated that mallinatha
suri's commentary should clarify. This is because he is the fore most
authority on kaalidaasa. It is now clear that the authority favours the
parsing as paarvatee + paramEswarau. In fact, he did not mension the any
other possible parsing as possible and reject it afterwards.
Perhaps there is a sound reason. When you say `pitarau' ( parents ) you
naturally imply a mother and father. It does not make sense to mension
two fathers and their progeny from their union as the poem clearly states
Bby the word `sampRuktau'.
It is only logical to argue that kalidaasa has been talking about the
devine couple Lord Siva and his consort Paarvati, who are inseparable
as the word and its meaning.
The parsing paarvatee + paramEsvarau is `siddha' and the other parse
paarvateepa + ramEswarau is `saadhya'. Clearly siddha is preferable.
Also paarvateepa is not roodha ( established in usage ).
If we do not still agree, we must then first accept that untill one in
20th century end has suggested, every snaskrit scholer has misread
kaalidaasa. This is highly improbable.
It only makes sense to argue that the saadhya parse is known to all
since kaalidaasaa's sloka is known and every body knew that it is
not upto context and acceptable. Should it make a semblance of meaning
mallinatha suri could have certainly commented.
For ex. In meegha sandEsa kavya vyakhya, suri comments that some people
mis read the line
aashaDhasya pradhama divasE meegha maaSliStha saanum.
as
aashaDhasya prasama divasE meegha maaSliStha saanum.
And goes in great detail as to why it should be the pradha divasa and
never the prasama (last) divasa.
So, I hope we should throw any doubt now on the sloka in discussion.

PS: For info., mallinatha says that in a book called `sasyaananda' we
have been given to understand that if on the first day of aashaDa, you
see rainy clouds on the sky in the northern direction, you should be
assured that there will be a good season ahead and the crops will be
good.
