/\The Sanskrit version of kanda is aarya.
\/

/\There is only one difference.
\/

/\The even lines of the poem in the sanskrit version
\/end in a dwi-maatra gana instead of chatur-maatra
gana.

kanda has derived its metre from the aarya vritta
and was popularised by the saivate kavi folks of
yester years.

probably the name is derived from skanda as
( skanda is kumara swamy )

Though aarya of course follows the sanskrit poetic
rules, yati & praasa rules were added by Telugu
poetic needs.
