Note the preponderance of ga-ga group. This is because of the language's
nature, most of the words ending in a consonant, and thus ending in a
guruvu. Most "nishiddhAkshari" kanda poems would have a preponderance of
ga-ga sequence, with words of two or three syllables, because of a
different reason. That reduces a) the number of times the avadhAni faces a
"ban", and more importantly, b) makes it difficult for the questioner to
"anticipate" the next syllable, and thus ban it.
An incident about nishiddhAkshari, related by mEDasAni mOhan, recently.
It seems that at an ashTAvadhAnam, they were looking for prucchakas, and
somebody, when approached, said "give me that item called nishiddhAkshari.
that would be easy for me. All that happens is, I give him a letter, and
he gives me a letter. What's so difficult about that?"
