Hello Everyone,
Sorry I haven't logged on in quite some time, but I have just returned
from a week long trip home. I will, from now on, be regularly logged on
and will be participating in the group discussions. I have to say that I
like the juke box idea that was proposed. In addition, I would like to
address some concerns that the group's present discussion format is too
restrictive. I have had the chance to review some ideas that we should
expand to discuss film industry, history, etc. I think that we already
do this, to an extent. We have discussed music directors, actors, movie
directors, cinema history, musicians, writers, etc, but all in relation to
Ghantasala, because that is in fact the reason why we have this group. To
discuss, primarily ghantasala only and topics of relative importance to
his music. I think that we can continue to discuss non ghantasala
characters but only as long as we apply them in some way to Ghantasala's
music. I am however a little cautious in letting group discussions focus
solely on outside individuals and subjects. I would like for this group
to stay strictly a Ghantasala centered group. I realize that the singer
was part of a cinema industry that was the collaboration effort of
several various actors, directors, musicians, and thus I feel that
discussions of these persons is necessary. But again, let us remember
that we should try and maintain structure in focusing on Ghantasala.
